I still can't believe you took the time to make your Connor costume...it's just too perfect! How long did it take to make? I might try my hand at it sometime. I wish I could do something like this; if I could go to FACTS or a similar event I'd be happy. In the meantime I look forward to seeing more pictures of you as Connor. Will Dominique be returning as Aveline? She did an equally wonderful job and I'd like to see more of her too.
3 to 4 months? Now that's dedication! I am officially blown away. On the other hand it explains why the Connor and Aveline costumes are so realistic...I applaud your dedication . Is it roughly the same timeline for your other costumes too, or was it just Connor and Aveline?
Wow...about a year per costume-on average-now that is something else entirely. No wonder they're so impressive. In the interest of curiosity maybe you're being slightly hard on yourself, considering the time you spent on the costumes? I honestly couldn't see any flaws in them-at first I thought I saw screencaps from the games. Is it alright for me to ask what it was you weren't too happy with.
I'll keep those things to myself, but consider the update on the tomahawk. It looked allright, but as more ref became available it was obviously in need for an overhaul. But it was still an update of a prop made that wasn't accurate to the final design. I could remake the entire Tomahawk of I had the time to look even closer to the real thing. This goes for just about every part. But at some point I have to say... Okay... it looks cool enough as it is and the suit does what it is supposed to do. That means a snug fit and all props look decent and stay where they are supposed to stay during movement... running, jumping... horse riding Hope you know what I mean.
But with more time... more money... I could make another Connor that would twice as cool as this one.
Fair enough...I look forward to seeing another Connor costume in the future; maybe then I can see what you don't like about the current costume. Considering the relative lack of references when you started working on Connor and Aveline, they turned out to be really good. Was it tricky riding a horse in costume?
