AC III - Connor's Tomahawk V1.2 by RBF-productions-NL AC III - Connor's Tomahawk V1.2 by RBF-productions-NL
With the release of the game getting closer there's some awesome Tomahawks being made out there. Unofficially and officially.

In any case, myn could use an update.
I did this last week, but haven't had time to upload it, due to a bad, bad case of the flu last weekend :S

Worked on the blade (curved on the inside), feather, overall color and the wrapping was changed.

Wasn't sure if I should change the center piece of the blade, where it connects to the handle. Most pics it's rectangular, but on the shot where Connor and Aveline appear together, it's plain round. Thought I'd keep it as it was.

Anyways, enjoy!!

I need this tomahawk in my life, blood and all! :iconamgtouchplz:

Plus, the extra blood drops match very well with my red handbag I think. It's exactly the same shade! Not sure how I'd look on the bus, but it would make a very good keyring for my keys, too! Or a great charm for my new iPhone! The enhanced anti-theft a tomahawk would provide is also definitely a bonus! I must pre-order, just take my money already!!!!!!! (Hmmm... I may order two of them actually, as they could serve as great earings, too... And, on top of that, I will have to balance my ears. So yeah... double order! Sending now with PayPal! Thanks!!)

Seriously now... Amazing job! :XD:

Yeah I was kind of worried about my favourite deviation at the moment aswell... seeing as I'm holding a cigarette there.... Let's end the earring discussion soon before someone has us shoved off to mount Mordor to cast them into the fire in wich they were created!!!!!

AWESOME! I plan on doing a Connor cosplay, and was wondering what you used to make the blade for the axe?

You did a great job! :iconeziodanceplz:

PC sewering pipes. So it's a plastic blade really.

Interesting... How did you shape it into the shape of the blade?

Smack it in the oven after sawing it out of the pipe, then you can flatten it using to pieces of wood or any other hard, flat surfaced area.

Sorry for all the questions... but may I ask how you did that? As in, did you saw the shape of the blade out of the pvc pipe and then put it in the oven? (and what temperature did you put it in the oven for?)
Again, I'm sorry for all the questions.

But I have been trying to find a way to make a blade that doesn't involving carving it out of wood... And yours is very nicely done! :D

Pizza temperature!!! Does this reveal my awesome cooking skills? I believe it's around 180 degrees celsius to 200 degrees celsius. Stick with it, because the plastic softens very fast and before you know it turns liquid.

Haha! And I don't leave it or it will turn magically into a pile of goop. Got it!!
You have EPIC cooking skills! Using pizza temperature really shows how awesome you are at it! lol! :D
So I cook it then sculpt it? or sculpt it then cook it?
Sorry! I'm a little confused on the order of things. LOL!

Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Just keep in mind your stuck with flat forms mostly, so you'll have to build up the blade in layers.

This one is really good. Definantly an improvement over your last try. I might have one tip though: for realism: if you go with blood stains, you'd better put some brown bloodpattern on it too the resamble dried up blood =).

Ha ha, well mostly everything. But I guess you're always your own worst critic... No seriously, there's definitivly room for improvement. However.... I did do 2 pretty comprehensive costumes in half a year. I usually take a full year for just one, so that sais something.

Tell me about it. You are familiar with me almost doing everything over for like two times. I get this critical perspective towards your own stuff. I'm actually forming some hate/love relationship with my costume, knowing everything that could be better XD.
