You know you have THE BEST connor costume made IN THE WORLD yet?
I'm planning to make one myself... But this is just .... stunning! Perhaps you've posted some "work in progress" photos and tips, somewhere on the web. If yes could you give a link plz? If not - are all the leather parts real leather? & what did ya use to kinda' make the entire outfit look so   used? (dyes?) I'm soooo curious!

SORRY for disturbing!

GREAT WORK!!!       KEEP IT UP SIR!
!!!!!!!!BEST REGARDS!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha ha ha!!!
Thanks for the kind words!! Much appreciated!!

Only the "leggings" are real leather. The lining and such is all fake. The weathering is done with acryllics and alcyd based paints. Both from pots aswell as spray cans. Using earth-tones works well :)

So awesome! I <3 CONNOR XXX! You attention to detail is amazing! Some cosplayers of Connor don't bother making it look aged but you've made it look absolutely KICKASS!

A kind of jeans blue, but I attacked it with a variety of paints after it was done, so it;s a bit hard to tell the exact color.

Just wanted to ask but, do you happen to remember where you bought the fabric to make the jacket?

A regular textile store should carry it. It's a simple linnen/synthetic mixture with a slight stretch.

This looks amazing! did you use a patter or did you just make it?

Mostly the latter. I used a regular T-shirt patern for a front and back pannel and kind of went from there.

I figured. :) So I guess I will just have to make my own pattern, and just figure it out as I go along. :D Thank you for answering my questions. :D

My jaw literally dropped when I saw this. How much did it cost you to make all of this, if you don't mind me asking? It literally looks spot on when compared to the game! SO JEALOUS!

Thanks for the compliments!!
I haven't kept track of all the exact costs. I'd estimate a couple of hundred euro's? Making the bow and flintlocks the biggest investment.

Did you experience any problems with the belt that's attached to the button dragging the costume back? And, if so, how did you problem solve this belt configuration?
Reply
:iconrbf-productions-nl:
RBF-productions-NL Featured By Owner Sep 5, 2012  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
The buttons on the weapons belt are purely decorative.
There's a bolt on the inside that ends in a loop on the inside of the coat.
The vest contains the same with a piece of leather on the inside.
The 2 loops go over each other and a pin holds them together. So the coat and the belts are attached to the vest.

Brilliant. I tried attaching the weapons belt to the insignia belt through a hole in the coat and didn't get a result I liked (tangles a lot). Will attempt your way - I love your work!
