Metal Gear - Naked Snake gear and weathering test by RBF-productions-NL Metal Gear - Naked Snake gear and weathering test by RBF-productions-NL
More items on the belt, some authentic, some replica's.
I weathered the shot out of them to get the right kind of contrasts throughout the whole look of the costume.

Just waiting for some Vietnam era US ammunition pouches :)

This is really looking good now.I really love the attention to detail.I remember when I bumped into a Naked Snake cosplayer last year. The detail on his tiger stripe camo outfit was amazing.Even the gloves looked great too.Anyway back to you.I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS FINISHED! :D

Yeah... well... long-ish hair.
I used to have past my shoulderblades, but that's years ago...

Now it kind of changes between short, half-long... short... I don;t know. Usually I trim it for Christmas :P :D

Thinking about letting it grow long again though.

Hair can always be regrown, that's the up and downside of it. It's junk growing out of your skull :D

Not so random. I keep thinking about the real deal props (like the stabo harness) and keep wondering what has happened to that thing... or more to the point... what happened to the person that wore it?

It's an eary thought to say the least... :S

My grandpa was a chef, a cook he was over in Germany during Vietnam, I'm happy he is alive, one of his experiences was getting shot out of a helicopter

Real parachute clamps, they have US stamped into them and a serial/fabrication number. I know Snake doesn't have them... But they are SO cool and real and well... Cool :D

That... and the material is lodges in with metal shards between 4 layers of the strapping stuff... In other words, you could hang an elephant with it and it's not something you want to trim and resew...

Can you imagine being yanked into a helicopter on one of these harnasses?

Liquid Snake at one point sais something about the abillity to reproduce being "convientely enginered out"... Yeah.... Go figure...
