Metal gear - Gear, clear shots by RBF-productions-NL Metal gear - Gear, clear shots by RBF-productions-NL
Not a lot of new stuff, but some :)
These do show the weathering and colors alot better then those horrible inside shots....

Boots still have to be weathered, so...

Well what else should I say?! Enjoy!!

Yeah... I figured sneaking through the jungle might rough around the outfit... But I'm sticking with looks, rather then accurate smells... :P :D That's considering people that visit conventions where I'm at :P

I am excited myself!! Can't wait to see the whole thing come together. Hope I can pull of a convincing Snake.
More soon!!

Be sure to wear them as much as you can so they will walk nice in the end... These babies are a pain in the ass in the beginning ;)

wow you're dirty :D hihi

you survival knife turned out really well, but the boot sole pattern seem to be the one they have used for MGS 3d and not MGS se ^^

what kind of bdu did you use? :D

:iconrbf-productions-nl:
RBF-productions-NL Featured By Owner Dec 17, 2012  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
BDU was a standard cheap-o one... don;t know the type. But it was Fostex in brand.

The sole patern is accurate to the boots used before, during and after the Vietnam war era by US millitairy personel as far as I know.

Same goes for the buttpack, much more detail then the one seen in Snake-Eater, but it's an authentic US millitairy buttpack.

I think Snake's soles in SE are just... outdated 3d model designs. I mean, look at the ammo pouches... they're just little 3d blocks with a texture stuck on it.

There are different patterns for the soles they used in Vietnam and they used [link] this pattern( you can see it when he makes the halo jump in the beginning)

I might be mistaken about the pattern on your boots, but it looks like this.

Wow dude, bravo on that... I acually wore those suckers and I haven't the faintest idea which ones I have. I also think I got the ones in the second pic you send through...

I thought I was scary, but you actually know what soles Snake had... :D :D

Well... doesn't really bother me,as I don't think alot of people are going to ask: Dude... You look great... but may I please inspect your footwear...? Looks fine to me :D

But I love your find!!
Again, I thought I was paying attention... Maybe I'm to layed back on this as it feels like a vacation from the whole Assassin's Creed franchise.

Thanks for the heads-up!! :D :D

Just chill on this project, I just though I would throw my knowledge in you pin so you have the opportunity to get the right ones if you wanted to :)

I admire your work greatly.
