Snake at Elfia 2014, Haarzuilens by RBF-productions-NL Snake at Elfia 2014, Haarzuilens by RBF-productions-NL
We had fun :) the weather wasn't to great but atleast I didn't die from the heat.
I liked the way the make up came out. The hair takes some getting used to because you can see my skin through on parts where the hair is combed sideways. More realistic then before, but not as dense as that synthetic carpet I used to use :)

Most fun part was meeting up with a bunch of people. Thanks!

Now.... bring on the rest of may :)

Dang dude, I've scoured the net and i think i can honestly say your Metal Gear cosplays are the best out there. One thing that i really think sets yours apart is the weathering you do on your outfits. I'm looking to do my own Metal Gear cosplay. Whats your process for weathering? Also, where did you get the harness that goes around the crotch? I can't seem to find those buckles anywhere i look and i'm not sure what they would be called.

I apologize if someones asked you this stuff before. I tried searching through your comments, but theres just so dang many. I love your stuff and its always great to see. Congrats on the new little one, and can't wait to see what awesome stuff you come up with next! Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments and the nice words!!!
Much appreciated!!

I bought (for both Punished and Naked Snake) an F16 jumpharness. You can also try to search for a "STABO" harness. Naked Snake uses a Vietnam era US STABO harness. You can even find pictures online of real ones. Keep in mind that most parts on Naked Snake are animated aproximations of real-life items, but differ somewhat on almost every front.

The weathering I do with paints mostly. Usually alcyd based ones, but also alot fo acryllics. I use pots, spray cans, brushes, sponges and my fingers to apply them. It's always quite a bit of work to get it done, but when done right it really payes off!!

Hope that helps a bit!!!

I love this pose. It's so recognizable pose that it's like a feature of Snake.

Btw great shot! :)
